Crane Rigging

Safety Training & Consulting has several offerings when it comes to Crane Rigging and Material Handling.

STC offers training classes for Rigging and Material Handling, as well as, Hand Signalling and Crane Operator Training.

We offer Crane Inspection Services including periodic inspections and Magnaflux testing of hooks and structural repairs.

 

TR-086  Qualified Hand Signal Person
STC offers an instructor-led Qualified Hand Signal Person course which is designed to instruct and certify candidates who will be working as the Signal Person during crane operations. This training is required in order for employees to meet OSHA 1926-1400(c)(1-5). The course exceeds OSHA minimums for training and knowledge requirements. Candidates must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of Meaning and Types of Signals Used, Crane Operations & Limitations and Crane Dynamics. Candidates must demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of  § 1926.1419 through § 1926.1422 and § 1926.1428. A written test and practical evaluation of the candidate’s knowledge will be performed in order to assess the candidate’s proficiency prior to receiving a Certificate of Completion.
TR-089  Overhead Crane and Level I Rigging
Course Length: 16 hours  No Prerequisites
Overhead Crane and Level I Rigging is designed for entry-level employees with little or no crane or material handling experience.

TR-101  Basic Rigging and Material Handling (with Hand Signals)

Course Length: 16 hours  Prerequisites: None

Basic Rigging and Material Handling (with Hand Signals) is an entry-level course designed to prepare candidates with little or no experience to work in the crane industry.

TR-102  Intermediate Rigging and Material Handling

Course Length: 16 hours Prerequisites: Basic Rigging and Material Handling or Overhead Crane and Level I Rigging

The Intermediate Rigging and Material Handling course is designed for experienced workers to take on more responsibility in crane ground operations.

TR-103  Advanced Rigging and Material Handling

Course Length: 16 hours  Prerequisites: Intermediate Rigging and Material Handling

Advance Rigging and Material Handling is designed for individuals with experience in crane operations ready to move up to a foreman or supervisory role.

Mobile Crane Operator Training

Course Length: Varies according to equipment type and experience.

Safety Training & Consulting provides quality Crane Operator training enabling you to learn all aspects of operation on all types of Mobile Cranes with extensive academic and practical exercises. This in-depth training covers cranes regulated by OSHA §1910, §1926 and ASME B30.5.

Our Crane Operator course can be taught at your location on your equipment ensuring your Operator is familiar with the equipment he or she will be using from the start.

The classroom portion of the training covers both operational and safety topics and includes:
