Safety Training & Consulting is a proud partner of and an authorized American Heart Association® Heartsaver® Training Center. Our Instructors are all current or former experienced Firefighters, EMT’s and Paramedics, bringing vast experience and professionalism to the classes they teach.
All classes are offered separately but usually combined to provide a fully comprehensive training program. STC will come to your place of business and perform the training. Class sizes are limited to 10 attendees per instructor.

CPR is one of the most important skills a person will ever learn. Using CPR, one rescuer alone can save a life. The brain begins to die in four to six minutes after the heart stops. In most cases, 911 will not be at the victims’ side that quickly. CPR keeps the brain alive until additional help arrives. With bystander CPR being started immediately, advanced care has a much better chance of reviving an intact person.
However, CPR alone is not the complete answer. With the addition of AED training, the victim’s chances of survival increase dramatically. Even if your company does not currently own an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), they are available in most public places. Shopping malls, airports, tourist attractions, and many stores are just a partial list of places that now have AEDs for use by any trained rescuer. Everyone taking a CPR course should also be AED trained.
Each class includes complete training in:
- Adult and Child CPR
- Adult and Child AED
- Adult and Child Choking
- Use Barrier Devices
- Optional Infant Training
Safety Training and Consulting provides a complete American Heart Association® CPR and AED package. This class will meet all OSHA/MSHA regulations for CPR training. Our CPR instructors arrive at your location with everything necessary for the class. This includes all audiovisual equipment and all CPR and AED training materials.
Each student receives:
- An American Heart Association CPR/AED student manual
- An American Heart Association CPR/AED card good for two years
The adult and child course is four hours. Infant CPR can also be included by adding an extra hour. The classes are scheduled at your convenience and your location. CPR classes are fun, easy, and provide the student with the confidence that they can help in those precious first minutes after the heart stops.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a certification card valid for two (2) years from the course completion date. It will take approximately two weeks to issue the actual card.
Students will be required to take refresher courses in order to maintain certifications.
Many businesses provide First Aid training for their employees. In some cases the training is provided simply because of its importance, other times it is provided to meet OSHA or MSHA requirements. Whatever the reason, Safety Training & Consulting can meet your needs.
The American Heart Association® First Aid Course is designed to cover the first five minutes of a workplace emergency.
First Aide Training includes segments on:
- Approaching the Patient
- Finding and Treating Numerous Injuries
- Recognizing and Treating a Wide Variety of Medical Emergencies
- Treating Environmental Injuries such as Bites and Stings
- Legal Issues
Taught separately, First Aid is a four-class, however, it is usually taught in conjunction with CPR/AED. This provides the most complete training and fulfills all of your OSHA/MSHA CPR and First Aid requirements. The classes can be scheduled as a full day or split into separate days.
Each student receives:
- An American Heart Association First Aid Student Manual
- An American Heart Association First Aid card good for two years
As with all our CPR and First Aid courses, all training materials and audiovisual equipment needed to teach the classes are provided by Safety Training & Consulting. Classes are scheduled at your convenience and your location. Classes are fun and include hands-on training and practice.

This 2-hour long discussion class fulfills OSHA/MSHA requirements for Blood Borne Pathogens.
It includes discussions of:
- What are Blood Borne Pathogens?
- Types of Exposure
- Selection of Personal Protective Equipment
- Exposure Control Plan
- Proper Disposal of Contaminated Materials
- HIV
- Hepatitis
- TB
Bloodborne Pathogens is a two-hour _class and should be repeated every one to two years. The latest information and statistics on HIV, Hepatitis, and TB is included. Each student will receive a Certificate of Completion.
Safety Training & Consulting provides all training materials, handouts, and audiovisual equipment needed. Blood Borne Pathogens is scheduled at your convenience and your location.
The American Heart Association Heartsaver® Pediatric First Aid Course is designed to meet the regulatory requirements of child daycare providers, teachers, foster care providers, camp counselors, and coaches involved in children’s sports.
This eight-hour course includes:
- Pediatric First Aid
- Pediatric Asthma Care
- Adult/child CPR
- Adult/child AED
- Infant CPR and Choking (Optional)
Each student will receive:
- An American Heart Association Pediatric First Aid Student Manual
- An American Heart Association Pediatric First Aid card good for two years
Safety Training and Consulting provides well-trained instructors and all necessary equipment. This includes all audiovisual equipment and all CPR/AED/First Aid training materials. Your class will be scheduled at your convenience and your location. We try to make it as easy as possible for you to maintain your certificates and licenses.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a certification card valid for two (2) years from the course completion date. It will take approximately two weeks to issue the card.
